Off Site Event
Open to all attendees
The IAFSM Group Event -
- Arson/Fire Scenes – Burn cells will be used with live fire for attendees to learn fire scene documentation.
- Post Blast Scene – LIVE IED Explosion followed by scene for attendees to learn post blast documentation.
The Offsite Event Schedule - Monday, November 4
This event will begin at the Hilton Bayfront, Pointe Room. The bus will leave from the Hilton Bayfront and return to the Hilton Bayfront. Please note, schedule is approximate times and can be subject to change.
| 7am-9am | Welcome and Fire Lecture - Fire Scene Safety, Fire Behavior, Burn Indicators *Everyone attending the off site event must be at this safety briefing* |
| 9am-10:15am | IED Lecture |
| 10:15am-10:30am | Break, Snack provided by the IAFSM Load bus - location of bus will be given at opening remarks and will be announced on the Off site event page on the website. |
| 10:30am | Bus leaves for off site |
| 11:15am | Safety Briefing at site |
| 11:30am-12:30pm | Live Burn Cells followed by Explosion |
| 12:30pm-1:15pm | Lunch on site, provided by the IAFSM |
| 1:15pm | Scene walk through |
| 1:30pm | Break out stations - work scenes. This will consist of 60 minute rotations. |
| 4pm | Wrap up discussion |
| 4:30pm | Load Bus and return to Hilton Bayfront |
We will be working in conjunction with the San Diego Sheriff's Bomb Range on Monday, November 4. The ATF is working with us and assisting in our event and creating a field problem/burn cells with a live burn.
