Ryan Rider is the owner and operator of Triple "R" Investigations (TRI).
TRI specializes in training law enforcement the use and deployment opportunities of FARO's Focus scanners. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas and grew up in the HEB area. He attended Texas A & M University, earning a Bachelor Degree, and then a Master in Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. After 6 years with a fortune 500 company, Rider started into law enforcement by attending the Fort Worth Police academy and becoming a reserve officer in 1996. His commission was moved to Hurst in 1997, again as a reserve officer. In 1999 he went into a full time position. Rider holds a TCLEOSE master peace officer, instructor, mental health peace officer, police training officer and Crime Free Multi-Housing Instructor certifications. With assignments in Hurst, he has participated in the Hurst PD urban rifle team, bike patrol, crime scene, accident investigation (CRASH), field training, Traffic Division, Community Services and currently as a Patrol Supervisor. In Ryan's assignment as Community Resource Officer, he initiated the Crime Free Multi-Housing program to address crime in the Hurst apartment communities as well as work with graffiti and gang issues. In March of 2012 he played a key role in getting the Hurst Crime Reduction Ordinance passed. In February of 2018 he was able to obtain a JAG Grant to purchase a FARO 3D scanner for the Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Grapevine, and Colleyville Police Departments to document major crash and crime scene incidents.
